Chair of the Board
Reynette Au joined the Energous Board of Directors in August 2019. Au is a Strategy & Operations executive in Google’s Core Technologies business unit. Prior to her position at Google, Au was vice president of marketing, Programmable Solutions Group at Intel Corporation. Other leadership positions she has held throughout her career were at organizations including Micron Technology, Phoenix Technologies, GTIA, NVIDIA Corporation, Triscend Corporation, which was acquired by Xilinx and others. Au brings a track record of driving marketing strategy and customer engagement programs that enable the scaling and market segment share growth for a range of system solution products.
J. Michael Dodson
J. Michael Dodson joined Energous’ Board of Directors in August 2022. Mr. Dodson has served as Chief Financial Officer of Quantum Corporation, a data storage and management company, since May 2018. Prior to joining Quantum, he served as CFO of Greenwave Systems, a global software and managed services company for Internet of Things (IoT) mobile network solutions. Before joining Greenwave, Mr. Dodson held various roles at Mattson Technology, Inc., an international semiconductor process equipment manufacturer, including Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer from 2012 to 2017. Prior to his tenure at Mattson, Mr. Dodson served as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at DDi Corp., a provider of printed circuit board engineering and manufacturing services. Before joining DDi, Mr. Dodson served as the CFO for three global public technology companies and Chief Accounting Officer for an S&P 500 company. Mr. Dodson started his career with Ernst & Young.
Rahul Patel serves as senior vice president and general manager, Connectivity & Networking Business Unit, at Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. Prior to that, he spent 13 years at Broadcom where he last served as senior vice president and general manager for the Wireless Connectivity business. Prior to joining Broadcom, Patel held senior marketing and engineering positions at HIFN, Inc., Samsung Semiconductor, Tritech Microelectronics, and EPSON/S-MOS Systems. Patel is a proven leader with more than 25 years of experience and a strong track record for developing successful product lines, driving P&L growth and building global organizations of Fortune 500 companies in the semiconductor and telecommunications industries.
David Roberson joined Energous’ Board of Directors in August 2022. Mr. Roberson has served as Chief Executive Officer of RoseRyan, a ZRG company, a Silicon Valley based advisory firm that provides finance & accounting and marketing professional service solutions to public and private companies, since January 2020, having previously held the positions of Vice President and Project Team Lead at the company. Prior to joining RoseRyan, Mr. Roberson acted as a business advisor and mentor to various technology companies, including through serving on the boards of directors of Spansion Corporation, Integrated Device Technology Corporation, International Game Technology Corporation, Quantum Corporation and Brocade. He currently serves on the board of Carney Technology Acquisition II. Mr. Roberson previously served as Senior Vice President, Storage at Hewlett-Packard Company, and spent 26 years at Hitachi Data Systems Corporation in roles of increasing seniority, including General Counsel, Chief Financial Officer, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Executive Officer.
Wilkerson, currently vice president of government affairs at Michelin North America, has served as an advisor to Energous since 2018 and brings in-depth experience in both public and private sectors. Prior to her role at Michelin, Wilkerson was president of Willow, LLC, where she advised global wireless, telematics and automotive companies on government affairs, and as senior vice president of strategic planning and corporate services at Ygomi, which develops software for automated driving and ADAS.
Before joining the private sector, Wilkerson spent more than a decade in roles throughout the U.S. federal government, including the Senate and House of Representatives, Federal Judicial Center and the Federal Communications Commission, where she led the office of legislative and intergovernmental affairs and served as an advisor to the general counsel and chairman.
