Mallorie Burak
Interim Principal Executive Officer and Chief Financial Officer
Mallorie Burak joined Energous in January 2024 and serves as the Company’s Chief Financial Officer. In March 2024, she was also appointed to serve as Principal Executive Officer. Ms. Burak is an experienced financial executive, bringing almost 30 years of expertise across a broad spectrum of industries ranging from early-stage start-ups to multi-national, public corporations.
Prior to joining Energous, Ms. Burak served as President and Chief Financial Officer of Knightscope, Inc., an advanced public safety technology company, as Chief Financial Officer of ThinFilm Electronics ASA, an innovative solid-state lithium battery start-up, and as Chief Financial Officer of Alta Devices, Inc., a GaAs thin-film solar technology start-up.
Ms. Burak’s career history also includes serving as President and Chief Financial Officer at FriendFinder Networks, and Chief Financial Officer at each of Rainmaker Systems and FoodLink, and as Interim Chief Financial Officer of Southwall Technologies. Ms. Burak has extensive successful experience with public listings, ATM facilities, secondary offerings, debt, Reg A offerings (equity and debt), and in turning around special situation companies as well as significant experience leading and managing M&A related activities. Ms. Burak holds a BSBA and an MBA from San Jose State University.

Giampaolo Marino
Senior Vice President of Strategy and Business Development
Giampaolo Marino joins Energous from Analog Devices, a global leader in data conversion, signal processing and power management technologies. While at ADI, he led both the strategic marketing and system applications teams globally, with focus on building platform solutions for consumer and IoT applications.
Prior to ADI, Mr. Marino worked at NXP semiconductor, where he served as GM and Head of Product Line, Audio & Voice Solution Products, managing a global team responsible for R&D, marketing and applications, business development, system architecture and product definition. Prior to NXP, heheld senior product-related positions with Monolithic Power Systems, Texas Instruments, and Intersil.
Mr. Marino is an accomplished technology business leader and entrepreneur with more than 20 years expertise in hardware and software development. He is experienced in creating successful go-to-market strategies and strategic partnerships to drive growth and scale for global technology organizations.
Mr. Marino holds an MBA in Corporate Entrepreneurship, Marketing and General Management from the Franklin W. Olin School of Business at Babson College. He also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from San Jose State University.

Daniel Lawless
Senior Vice President of System Operations and Regulatory Affairs
Daniel Lawless joined Energous in Jan 2018 and serves as the Company's Senior Vice President of Systems Operations and Regulatory Affairs, responsible for manufacturing operations and global regulatory approvals of all Energous products.
Mr. Lawless previously worked for 15 years at Broadcom Ltd, most recently as Director of Engineering, Global Operations, where he was responsible for Regulatory, Operations Engineering and NPI program management for production and reference systems. Prior to Broadcom, Mr. Lawless held management and program management positions at 3Com Corporation, where he was responsible for global approvals of 3Com's diverse product portfolio. He also worked for Compliance International, where he was responsible for Tier 1 manufacturer's wireless, networking and telecom approvals in the Asia-Pacific region.
Mr. Lawless has an extensive background in regulatory compliance, building regulatory teams, influencing standards organizations and leading approval campaigns for many first to market wireless products. He has served on the Board of Directors of the TCB Council and was Vice Chair of the WiFi Alliance Regulatory Task Group, driving policy changes and introducing new technologies. He is a contributing author in the Governance, Risk and Compliance Handbook: Removing Regulatory Barriers to Trade (Wiley, 2008). Mr. Lawless holds a BSEE from San Jose State University.
